What is Engineering?
Engineering is the method to utilise our Skill effectively and efficiently in a scientific manner to produce new mechanical commodity, creates awareness to utilise our resources in a scientific way. It basically shows our team work, Creativity in creating resources which might not have been ever discovered. In Engineering we live in real world with real world invention and problem.
It is an occupation with solution to every phase of Problem either application of mathematics, science, economics, and social and practical knowledge to invent, innovate, design, build, maintain, research, and improve structures, machines, tools, systems, components, materials, processes, solutions, and organizations.
Engineers are problem solvers, organisers, communicators, calculators and designers. These skills rely heavily on rational thinking and logical decision making, which is why most Engineers come from science and maths backgrounds.
Engineers work explains about problem that occurs and then finds their innovative solution through their skill from small mobile phone to Sub marine to space craft…
Engineers work in all kinds of environments. Yes, there are still many jobs in traditional engineering sectors, but engineers are just as likely to work in offices, in laboratories or studios, outdoors, in the air (think aerospace!) or even underground. The creative application of scientific principles to design or develop structures, machines, apparatus, or manufacturing processes for creating something that provide safety to life and property.
The term engineering is derived from the word engineer, which itself dates back to 1390 when an engine’er
(literally, one who operates an engine).
The word “engine” itself is of even older origin, ultimately deriving from the Latin ingenium (c. 1250), meaning “innate quality, especially mental power.
One who practices engineering is called an engineer, and those licensed to do so may have more formal designations such as Professional Engineer, Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer and many more.
